How to Grow Your Seeds & Coir 🌿
Your Easter box includes a carefully chosen pairing of herbs and vegetables that grow well together. Follow these simple steps to get started:
Step 1: Prepare the Coir
1️⃣ Place the coir pellet in a small container.
2️⃣ Add warm water and let it expand (it will absorb water and soften).
3️⃣ Once fully expanded, fluff it with your fingers to loosen the soil.
Step 2: Plant Your Seeds
Your Easter box includes a carefully chosen pairing of herbs and vegetables that grow well together. These plant combinations are synergistic in growth, meaning they support each other in the garden by improving flavor, deterring pests, and maximizing space.
Each Easter box includes two plant pairings designed to thrive together:
-
🌱 Basil & Rocket – Basil enhances the flavor of rocket and helps deter pests. Rocket (arugula) grows quickly, making it a great companion for basil in a small garden or container.
-
🌱 Coriander & Carrot – Coriander naturally repels pests that target carrots (like aphids), while both plants flourish in well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight.
To plant:
1️⃣ Sprinkle a few seeds on top of the coir and gently press them down.
2️⃣ Keep the soil moist but not soggy and place the container in a warm, sunny spot.
3️⃣ Once the seedlings are strong enough, you can transplant them into a bigger pot or garden bed.
Enjoy the journey from seed to plate as your Easter gift keeps giving long after the holiday! 🌿✨
